January Wednesday Morning Yoga Class Series is designed specifically for you during the cold season..

With this class series, you will:
- Warm your body with slower, steady movement
- Get strong in standing poses
- Release tension from hips and low back
- Relax your mind and body
Did you know your body and mind are affected by the changeable, cooler Fall weather?
In Ayurveda (the science of life), Fall is associated with Vata (air & space). Vata is always on the move, it's cold, dry, light, clear, and rough.
Is this you?
A person with excess Vata in their body or mind:
- has a mind that just won't stop thinking & worrying
- they experience a lot of anxiety and fearfulness
- can't sit still
- talks a lot
- have trouble sleeping
- they have irregular digestion: bloating, gas, and/or constipation
- they're usually cold
- and have dry skin.
Ayurveda encourages us to bring ourselves into balance through food, steady daily habits, and gentle movement.
So in this yoga class for Vata season we move more slowly and hold poses longer to encourage our energy to ground and move inward rather than scatter up and away from us.
We stabilize and strengthen so that we can be like a strong tree with roots rather than like a leaf blown all over in the wind.
We meet LIVE on Zoom on January Wednesday mornings 8-9am EST. The three dates for this series are: January 15, January 22, January 29
This class series is for you if:
- you want to feel relaxed yet energized
- you want to improve mobility & flexibility and get stronger
- you want to warm up and stretch your body in the morning before you move on with your day
- you need to calm a restless, overactive mind
- you are able to get down on the floor and stand up again
Props: We use and encourage props in this class series! Please have a yoga mat, 2 yoga blocks, a yoga strap or belt, a blanket, and a chair for balance. If you have a yoga bolster, that's encouraged as well.
Important: Please come to our Zoom class several minutes early to get set up and be ready to start at 8am. I start class promptly and won't be able to let people in once I am on the mat teaching. Thanks for understanding!
